Inner City Children diagnosed with asthma are eligible for our landsport sponsorship program. If the child is eligible, the child will be sponsored by Asthma Athletics to participate in a sporting activity. This may include Soccer, Football, Basketball, Softball among other sports. The child and parent agree to participate in educational session/exercises during the program. Partners in our Landsport programs have included the YMCA Stong Kids Campaign and AYSO (American Youth Soccer Organization). A volunteer mentor will be assigned to each parent and child and will assist in asthma education and support during the sporting event. |
